BRISTOL, Tenn. --
Matteo Miselli registered 20 kills and
Matthew Staskunas added 14, but Belmont Abbey dropped a tough 3-2 (23-25, 33-31, 25-17, 18-25, 15-11) decision at King in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Tuesday night.
With the results, the Crusaders fall to 8-12 overall and 4-4 in league play, while the Tornado improve to 10-11, 5-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miselli hit .283 in 46 attempts, while Staskunas connected at a .200 pace.
- Ethan Rehmann tallied seven kills and only one error in 16 tries for a .375 percentage.
- Matthew Maxwell dished out 45 assists and had a pair of kills. He also had one of the Crusaders' two aces and added eight digs.
- Daniel Cerqua led the defensive effort with 13 digs, the fifth time this season he has topped double figures.
- Staskunas also reached double figures in digs with 11 for his second double-double of the year.
UP NEXT
- Belmont Abbey returns home for its next two matches, Thursday and Saturday of this week.
- The Crusaders host Fairleigh Dickinson at 7 p.m. in the Wheeler Center.
