BELMONT, N.C. -- Matthew Staskunas tallied a career-high 15 kills and two other Crusaders reached double figures in the category, lifting Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (25-19, 26-24, 15-25, 25-23) victory over King in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Thursday night.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to 4-8 overall and 3-2 in league play, while the Tornado fall to 8-10, 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Matteo Miselli registered 11 kills, while Alex Winiarczyk added 10.
• Matthew Maxwell dished out 46 assists and had four digs.
• Daniel Cerqua was the defensive leader with nine digs, while Jay Beller contributed eight. Winiarczyk had seven.
• Ethan Rehmann was credited with seven blocks. He also hit .583 with eight kills against one error in 12 chances.
