TIGERVILLE, S.C. --
Matteo Miselli registered 22 kills and hit .311, but Belmont Abbey came up just short at North Greenville Tuesday night. The hosts posted a 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 27-25) victory in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action.
The Abbey falls to 3-8, 2-2 with the loss, while NGU is now 8-3, 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Matthew Staskunas tallied 12 kills and 12 digs for his first career double-double, while Alex Winiarczyk added eight.
- Ethan Rehmann served two of The Abbey's three aces, while being credited with four blocks and seven kills. (hitting .455).
- Matthew Maxwell dished out 47 assists and had seven digs.
- Daniel Cerqua and Matteo Miselli registered eight digs each.
- Belmont Abbey hit .256 in the match with 57 kills. In contrast, NGU had 52 kills and a .248 hitting percentage.
