BELMONT, N.C. -- Mike Sweigart and Matthew Wyatt each scored four goals, but a late rally lifted Newberry to a 16-15 upset of 13th-ranked Belmont Abbey Saturday evening.

The game was the home opener for the Crusaders, who fall to 1-1. The Wolves are 2-0 with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sweigart also had two assists for six points, while Wyatt also had a helper.
• Riley Arsenault and Tre Childers added two goals apiece.
• Shots were nearly even with Newberry taking one more, 44-43.
• Thomas Sullivan made six saves in goal for The Abbey.
