CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey earned top 10 teams finishes in both divisions of the Royals Challenge Friday afternoon, placing 10th in the Blue race and seventh in the elite Gold competition. This season marked the first time that the Crusaders, ranked sixth in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region, competed in the Gold Division, comprised of both Division I and Division II schools.
Zachary Knott continued to lead the way for The Abbey, placing 33rd overall at the 8K event with a time of 25:35.6.
Ethan Davis led the Blue Division runners with a time of 28:12.1, good for 32nd place.
