SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Riley Nickol registered 10 digs and served three aces, while Cameron Young added nine kills, but Converse prevailed with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-17) victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Tuesday night. The match marked the final road game of the season for the Crusaders, who close with a pair of home games in the next week.

With the result, The Abbey falls to 4-18 overall and 4-10 in league play, while the Valkyries improve to 8-17, 7-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•  After Young, Tyler Case had six kills, while Jenna McCullough added five.
• Case also served three aces, while McCullough had the team's only block.
• Ella Schellenberg dished out 25 assists and made six digs.
• Lily Marsh contributed nine digs and had two assists.
