BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey rallied from two sets down to force a fifth set, but came up just short to Lees-McRae Wednesday, falling 3-2 (25-21, 25-13, 23-25, 19-25, 15-10) in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action. Tyler Case posted a double-double of 11 kills and a team-high 19 digs.

With the result, the Crusaders fall to 4-16 overall and 4-8 in league play, while the Bobcats improved to 12-7, 9-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Cameron Young led the offensive attack with 12 kills. She also posted a double-double by adding 14 digs.
• Jenna McCullough and Lola Sultenfuss added nine and eight kills, respectively. McCullough was the leading blocker with six (two solo, four assists).
• Ella Schellenberg tallied 29 of the team's 40 assists. Grace McClure dished out seven.
• In addition to Case and Young, Riley Nickol reached double figures in digs with 16.
• Case (two), Nickol and Lily Marsh all served aces.
