Tyler Case tallied 15 kills and
Ella Schellenberg posted her fourth double-double of the season, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-17) over Barton in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night.
With their second win in the last three matches, the Crusaders improve to 3-14 overall and 3-6 in league play. Barton falls to 5-13, 1-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Case hit .289 with only four errors in 38 chances. She also had seven digs and an assist.
- Lola Sultenfuss and Jenna McCullough also topped double figures in kills with 12 and 10, respectively. Sultenfuss hit .375 (12k-3e-24a), while McCullough connected at a .292 clip (10k-3e-24a).
- Sarah Wilson did not have an error in 15 chances (five kills, .333 hitting percentage).
- Schellenberg finished the contest with 40 assists and 12 days, while Lily Marsh posted a team-best 15 digs.
- The Crusaders hit a season-best .228 and served seven aces -- tied for second-most this season.
