SALISBURY, N.C. -- Makenna Pallozzi and Meghan Little both posted top 40 finishes Saturday as Belmont Abbey opened its 2022 women's cross country schedule at the Fleet Feet Invitational, hosted by Catawba. The Crusaders placed seventh among 14 teams with 178 points.

Pallozzi finished 31st to score 28 points, while Little was five spots behind in 36th.

Catawba took the team title while Wingate's Gemma Rebollo was the individual winner in 18:35.0
