BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey battled West Division co-leader Emmanuel most of Saturday afternoon, but eventually dropped a 3-0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-18) decision in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action.

Caitlyn Faber tallied 17 assists, eight digs and four kills to lead the Crusaders (2-17, 0-5). The Lions improve to 9-6, 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Three Crusaders registered five kills each -- Mia Samaha, Baylea Botello and Jenna McCullough.
• Trinity Bradley served three of The Abbey's four aces.
• Riley Nikol was credited with three digs.

UP NEXT

• After six straight matches at home, Belmont Abbey takes to the road for the next two.
• The Crusaders travel to Lees-McRae on Wednesday, then Converse on Friday.
