CHARLOTTE, N.C -- Makenna Pallozzi ran her fastest 5k time of the young season Friday afternoon, lifting Belmont Abbey to a second-place team finish in the Queen City Invite's Open Division. The junior from Belmont covered the course in 19:56.0 to place sixth individually.

Kayla Chance of Savannah State won the race in 19:07.0, while Benedict took the team title by just six points (56 to 62) over the Crusaders.
