WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Belmont Abbey Women's Volleyball opened its second straight weekend of tournament play Friday with a pair of matches at the Rollins Invitational. The Crusaders dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-8, 25-12) decision to Barry in the first match of the day, then fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-20) to Florida Tech later in the afternoon.

THE OPENER

• Cameron Young, Jenna McCullough and Mia Samaha each had five kills.
• Ella Schellenberg dished out 14 assists, while Caitlyn Faber, seeing her first action of the season, had six.
• Faber also had two of the Crusaders' three aces. Zoe Schuberth had the other.
• Schuberth led the defensive effort with eight digs.

THE NIGHTCAP

• Samaha reached double figures for the first time this season with 11.
• McCullough and Ruby Foster both added seven kills.
• Schuberth added three aces and eight digs.
• Faber (16) and Schellenberg (10) both reached double figures in assists.
• Young tallied a season-best nine digs.
