Caitlyn Faber posted a double-double of 35 assists and 14 digs Saturday afternoon, highlighting a home tri-match against Chowan and 24th-ranked Wingate at the Wheeler Center. The Crusaders dropped a 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17) Conference Carolinas decision to the Hawks before falling 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-12) to the Bulldogs.
With the results, The Abbey falls to 2-13 overall and 1-2 in league play.
THE OPENER
- In addition to her double-double -- the first of the season by a Crusader -- Faber had eight kills and one of the team's two service aces.
- Baylea Botello and Jenna McCullough each had 10 kills. Cameron Young had eight.
- McCullough and Ella Schellenberg both had a pair of blocks.
- Zoe Schuberth tallied a team-best 13 digs.
- Carolina Dobson registered eight digs and an ace.
