BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team hosted Limestone for its second match of the season Wednesday at Alumni Field. Both teams played a scoreless first half but it was the Saints who scored a pair of second-half goals to earn a 2-0 victory over the Crusaders.

Belmont Abbey is now 0-1-1 on the season while Limestone moves to 2-0-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Belmont Abbey was able to create plenty of chances to score in the first 45 minutes, taking nine shots with five of them on goal.
• Paige D'Agostin led The Abbey with four shots total and two on target.
• Senior goalkeeper Lauryn Harding finished the match with four saves
• The two goals from Limestone came in the 53rd and 61st minutes, respectively.
