LOUDON, Tenn. – The Belmont Abbey men's golf team earned its fourth top-two finish of the season by finishing as the runner-up at the Tennessee River Rumble hosted by Lincoln Memorial Tuesday at Wind River Golf Club.
The Crusaders closed the three-round event with an even par score of 864 (285-285-294) and finished two shots behind the winner and host in Lincoln Memorial.
Jack Warren and Ben Loudermilk both earned Top 10 finishes for The Abbey. Warren was fifth at 5-under (70-66-75—211) while Loudermilk was in a tie for ninth (70-74-70—214) and had the low round of the day for the Crusaders.
Connor Fahey (70-76-73—219) also earned a Top 20 finish while
Andrew Rose and
Jacob Ferrari closed the tournament with rounds of 76 and 78, respectively.
Brendan Kelly (70-75-78—223) finished tied for 35th competing as an individual.
ST ANDREWS INVITATIONAL
WAGRAM, N.C. -- The Belmont Abbey men's golf team also had two teams competing at the Deercroft Spring Break Invitational hosted by St Andrews University.
The Belmont Abbey C and D teams finished fourth and ninth, respectively.
Tyler Schaap (75-75—150) led the way for the Crusaders finishing fourth individually while
Zach Murrow (78-77—155) finished tied for ninth.
Brandon Spinks (79-77—156) was also 11th for the Crusaders.
