Chandler Baker scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, lifting Belmont Abbey its fourth straight win, 95-76 over Erskine in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders tied their season high of 13 three pointers, hitting 57.8 percent overall from the field.
The Abbey improves to 13-8 overall and 11-6 in league play, while Erskine falls to 2-20, 2-16.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Quest Aldridge added 16 points, while Mario Lacy and Bosco Bojovic each chipped in 14 points.
- Sean Halloran was the fifth player to reach double figures, tallying 10 points to go along with a team-high seven assists.
- Bojovic grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, while Lacy joined Baker with seven.
- The Crusaders held a 42-22 rebounding advantage, while holding the Flying Fleet to 40.3 percent shooting.
- Erskine never led Baker hit the first basket of the game, a three-pointer 56 seconds into the contest.
- A 13-4 run over halftime turned a 33-26 lead into a 46-30 advantage with 17:10 remaining.
