BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's basketball team sent four seniors out with a win in the final home game of the regular season with a 98-61 victory over Southern Wesleyan Thursday at the Wheeler Center.

Keyanna Spivey,
Brittany Autry and
Kelli Thomas were all honored prior to the start of Thursday's contest. Five players finished in double figures scoring for the Crusaders led by 22 from Autry. She also finished with a double-double thanks to her 12 rebounds. Randolph finished with a career-best 16 points while Spivey had 14.
Peyton Nation and
Jo Snow had 12 pionts each for The Abbey.
Belmont Abbey finishes the regular season 19-9 overall and 17-6 in Conference Carolinas play. Southern Wesleyan closes the season at 7-21 overall, 6-18 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spivey scored the first 7 points of the contest for The Abbey.
- After the Warriors took an early 6-3 lead, Belmont Abbey outscored Southern Wesleyan 20-5 over the final 8:19 of the quarter.
- Taylor Stelley's jump shot with 3:02 left in the second quarter gave Belmont Abbey its largest lead of the half at 46-22. Stelley also led the Crusaders with a game-high seven assists.
- Autry was one rebound short of a double-double in the first half with 10 points and nine rebounds.
- The Crusaders led by as many as 32 points in the third quarter.
- The team finished the game by shooting 54.5 precent from the field in the game.
- Kelli Thomas had 11 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in the contest for the Crusaders.
- The 98 points was a season-best scoring mark for Belmont Abbey.
- The Abbey also dominated rebounding with a 58-28 advantage in that category.
