ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – Jacob Ferrari made his way into the top 10 overall as he and the rest of the Belmont Abbey men's golf team got the spring season started Monday at the Lincoln Memorial Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate at St. John's Golf and Country Club.
Ferrari opened the tournament with a 78 before improving to 5-under-par through 13 holes of his second round to stand at 1-over par and is tied for 7th place for the tournament. He and the rest of the Crusaders were unable to complete their second rounds after play was suspended for the day due to darkness.
Ben Loudermilk also shot a 78 to open the tournament and was 1-over par through 13 holes of his second round.
The Abbey is currently tied for 17th after the opening round of play.
