MURFREESBORO, N.C. -- Sean Halloran forced overtime with a three-pointer with 6.8 seconds left in regulation, then Belmont Abbey outscored Chowan 17-7 in the extra session for a 101-91 come-from-behind victory over the Hawks in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Friday night. The Crusaders overcame a 19-point deficit early in the second half.

The Abbey improves to 15-8 overall and 13-6 in league play with its sixth straight win. Chowan falls to 7-13, 7-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Five players topped double figures, led by Halloran with 17, 14 of which came after intermission. He tallied seven points in overtime, hitting five of six from the free throw line.
• Chandler Baker added 16 points, with Quest Aldridge tallying 15. LJ McCoy and Mario Lacy chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively.
• Bosko Bojovic fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 boards.
• In overtime, The Abbey hit three of five field goals and 11 of 12 at the charity stripe.
• A 15-0 run by Chowan midway through the first half turned a 22-21 lead to 37-21. The Hawks' halftime lead was 15, 51-36.
• The Crusaders led for only 4:56 of the contest with 4:28 of that coming in overtime alone.
