COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Makenna Pallozzi and Presslie Mariner posted top 10 finishes Saturday, leading Belmont Abbey to a third-place finish at the 2022 Akiah McMillian Invitational, hosted by Columbia University.

Pallozzi placed eighth in the 5k race with a time of 23:36.0, while Mariner was two spots and 19.5 second behind. Jackline Kosgei of UNC Pembroke helped the Braves to the team title at 44 points by winning the individual race in 21:42.4. Benedict was second with 60, followed by the Crusaders at 68.
