CENTRAL, S.C. -- A trio of Crusaders posted career highs Tuesday night, lifting Belmont Abbey to a 3-2 (25-19, 26-24, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13) victory over Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action.
Jenna McCullough tallied 18 kills,
Haley Davidson had 17 and
Caitlyn Faber registered 52 assists to establish personal bests in the categories.
With its second straight victory, The Abbey improves to 4-17 overall and 2-5 in league play. The Warriors fall to 3-12, 1-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mia Samaha also reached double figures in kills with 10, while Sarah Wilson added eight. Faber had six without an error in 10 chances (.600).
- The 67 kills as a team were a season high and ranks tied for 10th in program history.
- McCullough hit .452, while adding four digs and two block assists.
- Faber led the defensive effort with 20 digs for her third double-double of the season. She also had three aces, tied with Samaha for the team lead.
- Zoe Schuberth registered 17 digs and five assists, while Samaha tallied 10.
