Jenna McCullough tallied 18 kills and
Cameron Young had a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs, but Belmont Abbey dropped a close 3-2 (24-26, 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-13) decision at Barton Tuesday night.
The result drops the Crusaders to 6-24 overall and 3-12 in Conference Carolinas play, while the Bulldogs improve to 7-14, 6-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- McCullough hit .341 with 18 kills against four errors in 41 attempts. She also tallied five block assists and two digs.
- Young's double-double was her second straight and third overall this season.
- Zoe Schuberth was credited with a team-high 21 digs and four of the seven aces.
- Baylea Botello registered six blocks.
- Caitlyn Faber dished out a team-high 42 assists.
