KANNAPOLIS, N.C. and MORRISTOWN, Tenn. -- The Belmont Abbey men's golf team concluded play at a pair of tournaments Tuesday at the Irish Creek Invitational and the Walters State Fall Invite.Â
At The Club at Irish Creek, the Crusaders finished in 6th place with a three-round total of 874 after finishing with a team total of 298 Tuesday (291-285-298=874).
Jacob Ferrari and
Nick Norman were the top finishes for Belmont Abbey as they finished tied for 14th with identical 2-over-par total scores. Norman had the low round of the day for The Abbey, shooting a 2-under-par 69 as an individual. On the team side,
Brendan Kelly shot a 1-over-par 72 and was tied for 23rd with a +5 finish (74-72-72=218).Â
Lincoln Memorial won the team title with a three-round total of 848 (293-279-276), winning by two shots over Lander (283-288-279=850) and six over Coker (286-279-289=854). Lander's Linus Johnson finished with an 8-under par total (69-69-67=205) to win the individual title.Â
At The Country Club in Morristown, the Crusaders finished eighth (317-330=647) with
Brodie Perry leading the way as the top finisher. Perry had a pair of rounds in the 70s (76-79=155) and finished tied for 11th.Â
Host Walters State (293-304=597) won the team title with Carson-Newman's Steven Haremski (71-71=142) winning the individual title.Â

- Some of the Crusaders will compete at the Currahee Collegiate in Toccoa, Georgia while others will play at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. Both of those tournaments are scheduled to be played on October 24th and 25th.Â
