CHICAGO, Ill. -- Matteo Miselli tallied eight kills, but Belmont Abbey dropped a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-10) victory at ninth-ranked Loyola-Chicago in men's volleyball action Friday afternoon.

The loss was the first of the season for the Crusaders (3-1). The Ramblers improve to 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Miselli hit. 227 with just three errors in 22 attempts.
• Riley Mulkey, Jake Somers and Kyle Ferguson each added four kills.
• Matthew Maxwell registered 21 assists and a service ace.
• Daniel Cerqua led the defensive effort with five digs.
• The Crusaders hit .097, while Loyola connected at a .382 clip.
