FLORENCE, S.C. --
Quest Aldridge led six players in double figures with 13 points, leading Belmont Abbey to an 89-76 victory over Francis Marion in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
Aldridge added seven rebounds, six assists and three steals as the Crusaders won their second straight game in the new year to improve to 7-6 overall and 5-4 in league play. The Patriots fall to 5-8, 3-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ryan Maslow and Mario Lacy each tallied 12 points,
- Chandler Baker added 11 points while Charles Solomon chipped in 10.
- Bosco Bojovic scored 10 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- KJ Garrett dished out a career-high seven assists while Sean Halloran added six helpers.
- Belmont Abbey's field goal defense was outstanding as FMU hit just 39.7 percent from the field. The crusaders connected at a 46.3 percent clip
- The Abbey held the 44-38 rebounding advantage.
