Rebecca Morrison and
KB Briones scored for Belmont Abbey, but BAC lost the contest 5-2 at North Greenville this evening. The Abbey now stands at 1-5-1 on the season, with a 1-2-1 Conference Carolinas record. NGU is now 4-3-2 overall, and 3-1-0 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emily Doty took the first shot of the contest less than two minutes into the game
- NGU scored two goals in the first 16 minutes and led 2-0 at halftime
- In the second half, the BAC defense limited North Greenville to just six shots
- Morrison scored her second goal of the season in the 77th minute, to get BAC on the board
- Briones found the back of the net in the 86th minutes to close out the scoring. Her three shots on the day led Belmont Abbey
- Brianna Sroka, amking her first start of the season, made eight saves in goal
