Goose Andrews scored the first goal of the game, but the Belmont Abbey women's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision at Mount Olive this afternoon. The Crusaders are now 1-4-1 on the season, with a 1-1-1 conference record. The Trojans are now 6-0-1, and 3-0-0 against Conference Carolinas opponents.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Andrews found the back of the net in the 11th minute, her fourth goal of the season
- The Trojans tied the game in the 17th minute, and the teams were tied at one at halftime
- The Abbey held UMO to just seven shots in the second half, but gave up a goal for the 2-1 loss
- Lauryn Harding made five saves in goal
