Hasen Scores Four Goals Against Mount Olive

BELMONT, N.C. - Austin Hasen scored four goals, but the Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse team lost 11-6 to #12-ranked Mt. Olive.  The Abbey is now 8-3 on the year, and 5-1 in Conference Carolinas play.  The Trojans are now 9-1 overall, and 4-1 against conference opponents.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Mt. Olive scored early, but Hasen got the Crusaders on the board off a pass from Noah Haas.  UMO led 4-1 when the first quarter ended
  • The BAC defense played well in the second quarter, holding the Trojans to just two goals, but the offense was unable to score, and trailed 6-1 at halftime
  • Hasen scored a goal early in the third for The Abbey, off a pass from Jack Pigott.  He scored again with five minutes left in the period
  • Haas found the back of the net at the 3:06 mark, and The Abbey trailed 10-4 heading into the final period
  • In the fourth, it was Hunter Duford setting up Hasen for an early goal
  • Nick Deloriers recorded a man-up goal at the 1:30 mark, but The Abbey was unable to score after that, losing the contest 11-6
  • On the night, Hasen was the Crusader leader with four goals and an assist
