Box Score GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team forced 12 turnovers this evening at #14-ranked Limestone, but the team lost a 15-5 decision. The Abbey is now 10-2 on the season. Limestone is now 10-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Limestone scored early, but it didn't take long for Riley D'Andrea to get The Abbey on the board
- With just under eight minutes to play in the half, Jenn Smith scored a man-down goal for the Crusaders. She scored again with just under five minutes to play, and the Crusaders trailed 6-3 at halftime
- Smith was also the first Crusader to score in the second half, which she did on a free position opportunity
- Angelina Perrone finished off the scoring for The Abbey, who lost the contest 15-5
- Kate Roberts led the Crusaders with three draw controls
- Michelle Guppy made eight saves in goal
