Kylie Eastman tallied eight points to lead the Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team past North Greenville 15-7 this afternoon. The win puts The Abbey at 4-1 on the season, with a 1-0 Conference Carolinas mark. North Greenville is now 0-3 overall, and 0-1 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Greenville got on the board first, but BAC responded with five straight. Mackenzie Kaderabek and Riley D'Andrea each scored twice during the run
- Later in the half, D'Andrea scored a man-up goal to close out the scoring for BAC in the half, and The Abbey held a 6-3 lead at halftime
- D'Andrea only needed 25 seconds into the second half to find the back of the net, off a pass from Eastman
- Just a couple minutes later, Eastman scored a goal herself to put The Abbey in front 8-3
- Later in the half, Belmont Abbey scored six straight goals, four of which were either scored by or assisted by Eastman. The run happened over a span of 8:41 to build a commanding 15-5 lead for Belmont Abbey with 7:05 to play
- From there, the defense held NGU's offense to a minimum, and BAC took the 15-7 victory
- On the day, Eastman was The Abbey leader, with four goals and four assists, for a total of eight points
- D'Andrea added four goals and an assist
- Kate Roberts won a game-high six draw controls. As a team, Belmont Abbey outshot North Greenville 38-21
