BELMONT, N.C. - Corrine Shovlain scored in the 78th minute to tie the match at two, and earned the Belmont Abbey women's soccer team a 2-2 draw against Chowan.  The Crusaders are now 2-1-2 on the season.  Chowan is now 3-1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The early stages of the game were a defensive battle, as neither team gave up a shot in the first 10 minutes of play
• In the 25th minute, Emily Doty broke the tie, off a pass from Goose Andrews
• Chowan scored the next two goals and led 2-1 at halftime
• The early part of the second half was a defensive battle, with a total of two shots taken in the first 10 minutes
• In the 78th Shovlain found the back of the net off a pass from Logan Parry to tie the game at two
• Each team gave up just two shots and no goals in the 20 minutes of overtime, resulting in a 2-2 draw
• Lauryn Harding made five saves in goal
