DUE WEST, S.C. --
Katie Williams and Bailey Crim each had double-doubles but the Crusaders fell short 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-15) in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday evening.
Williams had 13 kills and 11 digs, while Crim dished out 27 assists and made 10 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Crim's statistics were a part of a career night. She set new highs in aces (three) in addition to assists and digs.
- Hailey Ryan spearheaded the defense with 27 digs. She also dished out four assists.
- Trinity Bradley also reached double figures in digs with a career-high 11.
- The Crusaders hit just .120 compared to .234 for the Flying Fleet.
- The Abbey was without a pair of starters due to injury.
- Belmont Abbey falls to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league play, while Erskine improves to 3-5, 3-4.
