Katie Williams led a trio with double-figure kills and
Paige Rawlins posted her seventh straight double-double, but Belmont Abbey dropped a 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-20) decision at Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Saturday.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in league play, while the Bobcats improve to 5-3, 2-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williams registered 13 kills and one ace, while Cameron Young and Lauren Hamilton each added 11.
- Hamilton hit .421 (11k-3e-19a) and Bailey Rose .417 (6k-1e-12a) in the contest.
- Rawlins now has a double-double in all seven games this season, tallying 44 assists and 11 digs.
- Hailey Ryan led the defensive effort with 20 digs with four others joining her and Rawlins in reaching double figures -- Williams (11), Faber (11) and Young (10).
