BELMONT, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team held Lees-McRae to one goal, but the Crusaders lost the contest 1-0 this evening.  The Abbey now stands at 1-1-1 on the season.  The Bobcats are now 3-0-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Emily Doty was the first Crusader to take a shot, which she took in the 10th minute.  At halftime, the teams were tied 0-0
• It took Cassidy Calhoun less than three minutes into the second to get the first shot of the period for Belmont Abbey
• Lees-McRae scored in the 62nd minute, for the match's only goal
• Goose Andrews finished with two shots on goal to lead the Crusaders.  Calhoun also took two shots
• The Crusader defense held the Bobcats to just eight in the match
