BELMONT, N.C. -- Paige Rawlins posted a double-double and three Crusaders reached double figures in kills, lifting Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (25-11, 25-15, 26-28, 25-21) victory over Barton in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon. The matchup of Conference Carolinas teams counted as a non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Rawlins totaled 35 assists and 18 digs for her third double-double in as many outings this season. She also served three aces.
• William posted 13 kills, while Cameron Young and Jenna McCullough added 11 kills each.
• Hailey Ryan had a team-high 21 digs.
• Belmont Abbey hit .254, while holding Barton to a .083 percentage.
• The Crusaders came out swinging, scoring 13 of the first 14 points. In the second set, they built a 7-2 lead, then rattled off nine straight points to break open an 11-8 lead in the second.
• Barton saved three match points in the third set to force a fourth, where The Abbey tallied seven of the last 10 points to take the victory.
• Belmont Abbey improves to 2-1, while Barton falls to 0-4.
