BELMONT, N.C. --
Caitlyn Faber had a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs and
Paige Rawlins added 28 assists, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) victory over King in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Wednesday night. Faber hit .452 with just one error in 31 attempts.
With the win, the Crusaders close the regular season at 9-20 overall and 9-8 in league play. King falls to 15-4, 10-8. The Abbey earns the No. 4 West seed.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Baylea Botello added eight kills with just one error for a .389 hitting percentage.
- Rawlins just missed a double-double as she was credited with nine digs. She and Faber each had three aces to lead the team.
- Hailey Ryan equaled Faber with a team-best 11 digs.
- The Crusaders limited King to .087 hitting (28-19-103).
