CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Makenna Pallozzi placed eighth overall and fourth among attached runners in the Royals Cross Country Challenge Blue Division Friday afternoon, leading Belmont Abbey to a third-place team finish. The overall race, which was split into two divisions because of the number of participants, was held at McAlpine Creek Park and hosted by Queens.

Pallozzi finished the 5K course in 19:09.7. The Crusaders were second among five Conference Carolinas teams.
