CAMDEN, S.C. The Belmont Abbey is in fifth place after the opening day of the Camden Collegiate Monday at Camden Country Club. The tournament is hosted by Limestone University.Â
All five players for the Crusaders were able to complete their opening rounds before a weather delay affected the start of the second round. Following another delay later in the afternoon, play was suspended for the day.Â
Through 18 holes, Connor Fahey had led the way with an even-par round of 70. That was followed by a round of 71 from Jack Warren while Ben Loudermilk and Jacob Ferrari rounding out the team total of 287 with rounds of 72 and 74, respectively. Henry Sparks shot 77.Â
Play is scheduled to resume at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
