Lauren Hamilton tallied 12 kills and
Paige Rawlins just missed a double-double, but it was not enough as Mount Olive posted a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-22) victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action on Saturday.
The decision snapped a five-match conference winning streak for the Crusaders, who fall to 8-19 overall and 8-7 in conference play. The Trojans improve to 11-13, 6-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hamilton hit .133 with 12 kills in 30 chances. She also had a dig.
- Mia Samaha and Caitlyn Faber each recorded eight kills.
- Rawlins led the team with 27 assists, while adding nine digs. She also chipped in four kills and had a service ace.
- Hailey Ryan had a career-high four aces and was credited with 21 digs. Samaha added eight digs and Faber seven.
