BELMONT, N.C. - Goose Andrews scored the lone goal for the Belmont Abbey women's soccer team, who lost a 3-1 contest this afternoon to Shaw.  The Crusaders now stand at 6-7-1 on the year.  Shaw is now 6-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Shaw scored in the 27th minute, but Andrews responded with a goal of her own just over a minute later
• At halftime, both teams had one goal and three shots
• The Bears scored twice early in the second to secure the 3-1 win
• Lauryn Harding made three saves in goal

Belmont Abbey will return to conference action, when it visits Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 27.  Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
