BELMONT, N.C. - Logan Parry scored the game-winner in overtime as the Belmont Abbey women's soccer tam earned a 2-1 victory over Converse this evening.  The Crusaders now stand at 6-6-1 on the season, including 6-3-1 in Conference Carolinas play.  Converse dips to 3-9-2 overall, with a 3-6-0 conference mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Goose Andrews took two shots in the game's first ten minutes, getting The Abbey on the attack early
• Converse scored a goal early, but the Crusader defense held the Valkyries to just two shots the rest of the half.  Converse led 1-0 at halftime
• In the second half, Andrews again came out shooting early
• In the 63rd minute, Corrine Shovlain found the back of the net to tie the match at one
• BAC out-shot Converse 12-1 in the second half as the teams went into overtime
• Parry needed less than three minutes into the overtime period to put the ball in the upper part of the net for the 2-1 victory
• As a unit, BAC outshot the Valkyries 18-4, led by Andrews with six
