Paige Rawlins posted her fifth double-double of the season and
Hailey Ryan added 28 digs, helping Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 28-26) victory over Chowan in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders improve to 2-14 overall and 2-4, while the Hawks fall to 4-11, 1-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rawlins tallied 33 assists and season-high 15 digs. She also had two kills, a service ace and block assist.
- Ryan added a kill and three assists to her digs.
- Two other players reached double figures in digs -- Caitlyn Faber (17) and Trinity Bradley (11).
- Lauren Hamilton registered a season-high 16 kills, hitting .500 in the contest (16-3-26)
- Cameron Young added 10 kills and eight digs.
- Belmont Abbey outhit Chowan .212 to .104.

- Belmont Abbey returns home on Tuesday to face Mount Olive.
