BELMONT, N.C. --
Caitlyn Faber recorded a double-double of 14 kills and 16 digs. and
Hailey Ryan added 22 digs, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 25-12, 25-22) victory over Mount Olive Tuesday night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 3-14 overall and 3-4 in Conference Carolinas play, while the Trojans fall to 5-10, 0-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Faber hit .122 with 14 kills and nine errors in 41 attempts. She also added a pair of aces and five block assists.
- Cameron Young also reached double figures in kills with 13 (13-7-40/.150). She just missed a double-double with nine digs, while chipping in three aces, an assist and block solo.
- Paige Rawkinga tallied 33 assists and eight digs. Here five blocks assists (and five total blocks) were both career highs.
- Jenna McCullough hit a team-best .353 with eight kills and four blocks.
- The Crusaders' 11.5 team blocks were a season high and rank sixth all-time in school history. The previous best this year was nine in the last outing.

- Belmont Abbey takes to the road again this weekend, traveling to UNC Pembroke and Francis Marion for conference matches.
