Box Score BELMONT, N.C. - Kylie Eastman recorded three goals and three assists as the Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team earned a 22-6 win over Frostburg State. The Abbey is now 3-2. It was Frostburg State's season opener.
How it Happened
- It took Eastman less than a minute into the game to put the Crusaders in front early. The Abbey never looked back from there
- Mackenzie Kaderabek scored twice in a four-minute span. After that, Jenna Niedzwiedzki scored back-to-back goals to make it a 6-0 Abbey lead
- Then Marin Felsoci scored back-to-back goals. At the 11:39 mark, Felsoci made it a 10-0 lead off a pass from Allison Cline
- Katie Cavanaugh scored in the closing seconds of the period, and Belmont Abbey led 14-2 at halftime
- In the second, Eastman was again the first Crusader to score
- Later in the half, The Abbey scored three free position goals in a row, including a man-up goal by Riley D'Andrea
- Angelina Perrone scored the final two goals of the game to wrap up the 22-6 Crusader victory
- On the day, Eastman was the Crusaders' leader with three goals and three assists. She also caused two Bobcat turnovers
- Felsoci scored three goals, handed out an assist, and won a game-high six draw controls
- As a unit, Belmont Abbey outshot Frostburg State 40-16
