Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Alyssa Pearson registered three goals, but the Belmont Abbey Women's Lacrosse team lost at Mt. Olive 17-12 today. The Abbey is now 2-4 on the season, and 1-1 in Conference Carolinas play. The Trojans now stand at 6-1 overall, with 3-0 conference record.
How it Happened
- After trailing 3-0 early, the Crusaders scored three straight goals in a span of 2:24, capped by a free position goal by Jenna Niedzwiedzki
- Later in the half, Marin Felsoci scored twice in a 34-second span, including a man-up goal to tie the game at five
- Mount Olive led 7-5 at halftime
- Pearson and Kylie Eastman kept scoring early in the second, keeping The Abbey within a goal of the Trojans
- Felsoci's goal at 4:31, however, was the Crusaders' last, and Mount Olive finished the contest with a 17-12 win
- On the day, Pearson and Felsoci each scored three goals and won four draw controls
- Eastman scored three goals, dished out three assists, and won a game-high seven draw controls
- Annie Brannon made a career-high 18 saves
