BELMONT, N.C. - Attacker Kylie Eastman scored three goals in a game the Crusaders lost 19-9 to #4-ranked Florida Southern.  The Abbey now stands at 11-4 this season, while the Mocs improved to 15-1.

Florida Southern scored the first three goals of the game, but Rebecca Luca got the Crusaders on the board at the 25:52 mark.  Later in the period, Rebecca Stromberg scored two goals in a span of 1:14, one of which came on a man-up opportunity.  Luca assisted Stromberg on both goals.  With 5:19 left in the half, Luca set up Marin Felsoci for the final Abbey goal of the period, and Florida Southern took a 12-5 lead into halftime.  Both teams recorded 11 ground balls in the half.

Felsoci scored the first Belmont Abbey goal of the second, making it a 15-6 Mocs advantage.  With 11:22 in the game, Eastman capitalized on a free position opportunity.  With 1:21 left in the contest, Eastman scored the final goal of the game, as the Mocs took the contest 19-9.  The Crusader defense forced nine Moc turnovers in the second.

On the day, Eastman's three scores led the Crusaders' offensive efforts.  Luca finished with two goals and four assists for a total of six points.  The Crusaders won 11 draw controls.

Belmont Abbey will travel to Limestone College on Wednesday, April 19, for a 4 p.m. matchup.
