BELMONT, N.C. -- The Belmont Abbey men's and women's cross country teams make their biggest road trips of the season Friday when they participate at the National Catholic Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The 38th annual meet involves Catholic universities of all divisions from all across the country.
The women's championship begins at 4:15 and covers 5,000 meters, while the 8k men's championship is set for 5 p.m. The Notre Dame course is set along the Burke Golf Course on campus.
Both teams finished fourth in their respective opening races at the Chick-fil-A Invitational two weeks ago. Sam Lynch and
Hannah Zenker were the top finishers, winning Conference Carolinas Runners of the Week for their efforts.
