Box Score For the sixth time in seven matches, Belmont Abbey junior outside hitter Nolan Albrecht reached double figures in kills with a match high 16, but Pfeiffer used a balanced attack to defeat the Crusaders 3-1 this evening in a Conference Carolinas men's volleyball matchup inside the Wheeler Center. The Falcons improve to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in league play as they won by scores of 25-22, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-12. Belmont Abbey drops to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in league play.
Albrecht hit .250 as he led all players with 16 kills on 40 total attacks with six errors. He also tied for the match high with nine digs. Anthony Pipppen slammed down 12 kills. Setter Derek Sullivan handed out 38 assists.
At the net, Justin Snyder recorded three block assists while Albrecht and Pippen had two each.
Pfeiffer won the first two sets easily before the Crusaders staved off a 3-0 sweep with a 25-20 win in the third set, claiming three of the final four points.
The fourth set however was all Pfeiffer, as the Falcons recorded a .650 attack, registering 14 kills on 20 attacks with just one error.
For the match, Pfeiffer hit .333 while the Abbey logged a .208 attack.
