Belmont Abbey junior Spencer Fournell led the Crusaders with ten kills but the men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Pfeiffer this evening. Set scores were 20-25, 15-25 and 19-25. Pfeiffer improves to 7-7 overall and 5-2 in league play, while the Abbey falls to 2-13 overall and 1-9 in league play.

The Crusaders hit .118 as Fournell led the way with ten kills on 25 attacks with just four errors (.240). Dustin Buell added five on eight attacks with zero errors (.625). Derek Sullivan handed out 18 assists. Johnny Gomez added a pair.

Defensively, Sullivan totaled eight of the Crusaders 22 digs, while Gomez added four.

At the net, Sullivan and Brennan Beyner each totaled three block assists and Dustin Buell totaled a pair.

Belmont Abbey is back in action Tuesday when it travels to Emmanuel.
