The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team was swept 3-0 by the visiting Pfeiffer University Falcons this evening at the Wheeler Center. Scores were 25-27, 17-25 and 19-25. Pfeiffer gains a sweep of the season series as it moves to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey hit .067 (27 kills, 22 errors on 75 total attacks) as Nolan Albrecht led the Crusaders with 13 kills. He hit .310 as he posted four errors on 29 attacks. Derek Sullivan handed out 26 assists.

Defensively, Albrecht led all players with eight digs, while Aaron DeKalb added six. Albrecht also had two blocks, one assisted and one solo, while Evan Young posted three total blocks, one solo and two assisted.

Pfeiffer hit .386 (46 kills, 12 errors on 88 total attacks) as Eric Edelman hit a blistering .765, knocking down 14 kills on 17 attacks with one error. He posted nine kills on his first ten attacks. Caleb Brophy added 12 kills. David Specian handed out 42 assists and recorded a pair of service aces, as did Micha Bortner.
